tomato = niki

bonjouuuur bloggers!

I AM SO SO SUNBURNT.
my skin is CRISPY. so sunburnt that i can draw a happyface on my stomach using only my fingers because if i poke my suinburn is stays super-white for a surpriseing and alarming span of time... so sunburnt that when i get in the shower pools of aloe-vera slime run off my skin into green puddles that sit on the bottom of the shower floor. gross, i know. so sunburnt that i am going to have skin cancer by the time i turn nineteen and the dry falky skin and wrinkles of an eighty year old woman by tomorrow. thats what i get for floating. or rather.. swimming down the river holding on to a floaty for three hours in the hot sun. sunscreen washes off easy,l i must say.

okay i LIE.
i forgot sunscreen...

kallie came to visit a couple of days ago, and me her and amanda had a super awesome time hanging out, all of us wl-ers in loops! we drove around town recklessly and cluelessly, and with fits of mild road rage, revving our engines and beating the other cars who we assumed wanted to "race" ... (in most instances when i say "we" i mean "i"..) the highlight of the day was, however, when we got a PARKING TICKET for parking in the value village parking lot for three and a half hours. we thought this would be free of charge. we even went into to VV and bought SHOES for heavens sake! yet they still ticketed us. granted, we did spend most of our time chowing down on chicken quessadillas at hello toast and browsing the goods of used bookstores and thrift shops. kallie even bought a new, working four dollar toaster for her new dorm!! anyhoo, we got our ticket and zoomed around town trying to find SOME way to pay it that didnt involve going to vancouver to use the impark debit, or mailing a cheque or paying with visa, and alas eventuaully came across the kamloops imapark office, where we met a lovely lady who asked us "would it be easier for you if i just made the ticket 15 dollars?" to which we replied "yes". we suspected that it was beyond her abilities to allow us to pay twice with debit and once with cash, as we had originally asked...

wait...
i just remembered that that was not the highlight of the day!

this was actually when we snuck into the accent inn to go swimming in its outdoor pool free of charge! "not possible" you say? well you are wrong! We simply boprrowed white towels from grant, (ironically, ones his aunt had stolen from various hotels in the first place...), put on our bathing suits, and took a somewhat roundabout and sneaky way to the pool! on the way, we listened at doors to see which room was clearly occupied so we would know which room number to say when we asked for the key to the hottub/sauna room. AND IT WORKED! WE ARE EVIL GENIUSES! :D we got hours and hours of free swimming!

anyhoooo, back to mundane things such as TRU.... my aptitude test went well, and i'd tell you what my top scorers were but i forget and i am at frances's so i can't even check. all of my top scorers were interesting and stuff, but on the decline and/or below the poverty line, which figures... in the end though, it didnt really end up affecting what i decided to take in school anyways, but is really really good to know anyways. so as of the beginning of september, i am taking Antropology, Sociology, and English! WHEEE! however, this is at a MASSIVE $$$ sacrifice...

i just looked in the mirror and noticed my resemblance to the netted bag of tomatoes sitting beside me.

i also got twitter! follow me!

and just so you know, i plan to get the comment thinger up and running soon. or rather... i plan to ask frances to fix it ^_^ and when i do, i expect some comments from all of you readers!

anyhow, i am off to get a new layout and paint my toes bright red i think. this one is far too gloomy for such a lovely kamloops summer!
