happy birthday, to me

hey there, dear blog-readers! i know, its been like a month since i have posted, AGAIN, but what can i say? i'm a busy person! and also a very, very, very broke person... but for my birthday today, i got a bunch of mall gift certificates from parents and brothers and various others (notice that rhymed... :D) so i bought the most AMAZING pair of neewwww boots from Aldo! in fact i love them so much i am wearing them aorund my house right now hahahaha. just a sidenote: did you know that today, my birthday is also the 40th anniversary of sesame street? random and fantastic, you are thinking, and i sooo agree!

so amanda and i have been slightly lacking in spntaneous adventures, but just last night, we were walking aimlessly around the tru campus in the middle of the night, when we decided to follow this random new road that lead past new rez, even though the sign said not to because of construction... and we had a fantastic time, or rather, i had a fantastic time rolling tires down hills into old buildings while amanda watched and laughed as i chased the rogue escapees down the hills. i'm sure it was quite comical, actually... i just figured why carry a perfectly round, heavy, muddy, grippy object down a hill when it could much more easily transport itself? so i let it roll, and i figured i would just punch it over when it was time to stop. but it didnt want to stop... i punched and punched, and i even kicked, but the damn thing just would NOT stop rolling. i seriously like inflicted some wicked kung fu on that beast, but to no avail. so then i raced it down the hill for a ridiculous amount of time (basically until i could run no longer because i was laughing so hard, and that action had kind of claimed all of the air in my lungs..) anyhoo, there were lots of old tires, and we even managed to jump one off of a wicked lumpy hill, and into some sort of derelict (or so we hope) building.

but we got bored of this soon, because tires are heavy, and just kept walking off our boston pizza jumbalya/spaghetti filled bellies, following this suspiciously long and nicely paved road, and we followed it all the way up to this suspicious construction site that was all "no trespassing" and blocked off and crap, and there was a mysterious big work truck that seemed content with just shining his lights at us, while we debated climbing over the fences... to get to this really tall mountain which we figured would have a FANTASTIC veiw of kamloops, because even the new rez parking lot gives a pretty amazing perspective. anyhoo, hopping the fences just really didnt seem like a good idea in the current circumstances, because who knows just who was in the truck anyways. (we were thinking along the lines of cop or big, burly, angry, scary constuction workers.

so we climbed the mountain from a place further back along the road instead, amd it was EXCELLENT! we actually hiked up a random ass mountain just for fun in the middle of the night, even though we were constantly in danger of being charged by vicious (or at least manda say that deer are vicious...sigh) deer that seemed to be roaming everywhere.. i will actually admit that some of those enormous horns could probably do some damage given the right circumstancesssss. anyhoo, the veiw up there was freaking FANTASTIC!! you could see like 270 degrees of AMAZING, and i loooveeeed it! it felt like we were on the top of the world! (like in titanic when jack yells that when the are standing on the railing, yes? ^_^ everyone quotes titanic right!?) i pretty much almost yelled that but then... didnt.

anyhoo it is fantastic, and we are going to make climbing mountains our new fabulous hobby! we may even go again tonighhttt, its also very fantastic exercice, and there are a LOT of totally hikable mountains around hereee ^_^

i promise to blog again sooon
or i promise i'l try anyways haha
so yes.
