i drove to williams lake this morning, but upon arriving i immediately missed the sunny, ice-free climate of kamloops, as the lake is frozen here, and there is snow on the majority of front lawns. on the other hand, however, i am thrilled to be here! i havent been back since christmas, so a visit was well overdue, i missed everybody quite a lot, but i am only here for two days, so its gonna be tricky squishing in all of the people i need to see and things i need to do! feels like all of my siblings grew about twelve feet since i saw them last time... libby in fact has been sitting with me during th short time i have been fiddling with my blog, and has already consumed a huge baked potato with sour cream and bacon bits, and a huge bowl of cauliflower with cheese sauce (that looked like soup, ew), and now she's making a big pot of pasta o_O now, if you know libby, you would realize that her consuming that much food really appears to be a virtually impossible feat, however, she makes like a Hoover and just sucks it all up... i'm not even sure if she chews.
the drive down was georgeous... sunny with blue skies, not a lot of people on the road except for psycho truck drivers all hopped up on caffeine and good weather, nearly creaming my car as they attempted to pass me going up hills, around corners, and while entirely monopolizing the mere two lanes of bumpy, dusty highway i was supplied with.
upon getting out of my car, i was greeted by mason, who instantly began playing the harmonica, singing kareoke and playing guitar, all hooked up to his amp, virtually all at the same time. i think its pretty much one of the most hilarious things ever, but my dad and oakes are to say the least, sick of him singing "big green tractor" in altering screamo/rap and beatboxing genres. oakes generally then attacks him, and then they wrestle, then mason retaliates with mushy lovey dovey talk and hugging, which scares oakes off pretty quick. libby basically just sat in a corner singing loudly to her ipod and alternating between the hokey pokey, head & shoulders knees and toes, and dinosaur by ke$ha...
needless to say, things have been loud, but i like it.
