stand a little taller

I have this new thing that I can't wait to try - apparently, writing down three things that you are grateful for every day for 21 days, that you will be significantly happier - just like that! Instant! Not to mention that the effects of this can last for up to SIX MONTHS! Perfect. Easy fix! Too easy probably, but i'm going to give it a shot for three weeks anyways. I thought it was interesting, though, that most people assume that success leads to happiness, when really it is more likely the other way around.  The happier you are, the more optimistic you are, and in turn the more likely it is that you will climb further up the corporate ladder -  employers like go-getters, and people that are good with customers and co-workers. Not to mention, a happy employee is much more likely a long-term employee.  I staunchly believe that when I love what I do, success has to come. When the mood is positive, we give rise to our self-esteem, leading to a relentless pursuit of success.

Today I am grateful for:

1. tuna melts
2. free water at dealerships
3. the smell of freshy mown gras

Happiness is when what you think, what you say, and what you do are in harmony.- Mahatma Gandh
